Web Search prompt FAQ
What is a deep research prompt?
A deep research prompt asks the assistant to plan a multi-step investigation, search widely, read sources in full, and return a structured answer with citations instead of a quick summary.
How is this different from ChatGPT’s built-in search?
Context gives the assistant more control: include or exclude domains, filter by freshness, country, and language, pull full-page Markdown or relevant passages, and run deeper Answers research that returns JSON in the shape you ask for.
How do I reduce hallucinations in research prompts?
Ask for a source on every claim, require dates, and tell the assistant to label estimates and gaps. Every prompt here does that, and the copied version adds the instruction automatically.
How do I install the Context.dev MCP in Claude or ChatGPT?
Add the Context.dev MCP server to Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client with the MCP setup guide, or install the Context app in ChatGPT for web search and page reading. Then paste a prompt and the assistant picks the right Context tools.
Do these prompts work without Context?
They run, but without live web tools the assistant answers from its training data and can’t open the pages, files, or searches the prompt asks for. Expect older information and more guesses.
