#1 Parqet Alternative

Parqet’s logo API, now run by Elbstream, is free only if every page that shows a logo links to elbstream.com in at least 12 pt, and it looks logos up by ISIN, ticker, or WKN, not by domain. Context.dev finds a company by domain, name, email, or ticker and returns logos, colors, and company data for 10 credits.

Why switch

Parqet’s logo API, now run by Elbstream, turns a stock identifier into a square logo image, free if you link to elbstream.com on every page that shows one. Context.dev turns a domain, name, email, or ticker into logos, colors, and company data at published prices.

  • Key difference

Parqet’s free logos cost a 12 pt link on every page

Elbstream’s free Hobby plan requires a visible link to elbstream.com, in at least 12 pt type, on every page that shows a logo, plus a credits or about page in mobile apps. Removing the link takes a paid key from Elbstream sales and serving logos from your own domain takes Enterprise, with no published price for either; the €3,000-a-year Startup plan listed through May 2026 is gone. Context.dev publishes its self-serve prices: Logo Link includes 100,000 logo loads a month on Developer ($19) and 2.5 million on Pro ($99), with no credits used.

  • Coverage

Look up companies by domain, name, or email, not only by ISIN

Parqet’s logo endpoint accepts ISINs, ticker symbols, WKNs, crypto symbols, and country and currency codes. It has no domain, name, or email lookup, and private companies such as Stripe, OpenAI, Canva, and Figma return 404. Context.dev resolves a brand from a domain, company name, email address, stock ticker, or transaction descriptor in one 10-credit call.

  • Brand data

Logos, colors, and company data in one 10-credit call

One Context.dev brand lookup returns logos, brand colors, a description, social profiles, the company address, and industry labels. Styleguide adds fonts, typography, spacing, shadows, and component styles for another 10 credits. Parqet’s logo endpoint returns an image file with no colors, names, or other metadata.

  • Pricing

    Published prices for company data

Elbstream sells company profiles for listed companies separately, through sales, billed by annual subscription or pay per use, with no public price. Context.dev lists its self-serve prices: Pro is $99 a month for 125,000 credits, enough for 12,500 brand lookups at $0.0079 each, and the Free plan includes 1,000 credits a month (100 lookups) with no credit card.

  • Stability

Published limits and at least 90 days’ notice before changes

Elbstream publishes no rate limits beyond fair use, and its terms say the API is provided as is, with no availability guarantee. The logo API has already moved once, from parqet.com to elbstream.com, which broke the old Parqet docs and changed the attribution target. Context.dev publishes concurrency per plan (10 on Developer, 100 on Pro), returns 429 with Retry-After, gives at least 90 days’ notice before deprecations, and runs a public status page.

  • Developer experience

SDKs in five languages, a CLI, and an MCP server

Context.dev ships SDKs for TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Go, and PHP, a CLI, an MCP server, and a public OpenAPI document. Elbstream publishes an OpenAPI document but no SDKs, and Parqet’s MCP server covers user portfolios, not logos. The same Context.dev key also scrapes, crawls, and searches the web.

What one request really costs

What 1,000 lookups cost on each side, by what you need back. Parqet’s logos are free with an attribution link; anything beyond a logo image is sold through sales or not offered.

  1. Cost per 1,000 lookups assumes one Context.dev brand lookup per company at 10 credits, so each plan’s credits divided by 10, with each range running from yearly to monthly billing. A Parqet logo request returns an image only, with no colors or company data.
  2. Parqet’s logo API is run by Elbstream Data GmbH (elbstream.com/logos). The free Hobby plan has no request quota under fair use but requires a visible link to elbstream.com, at least 12 pt, on every page that shows a logo. Removing the link takes a paid key from sales; Enterprise also allows serving logos from your own domain. A €3,000-a-year Startup plan listed through May 2026 is no longer offered.
  3. Elbstream sells company profiles for listed companies separately, through sales, by annual subscription or pay per use, with no public price (elbstream.com/terms).
  4. Context.dev Logo Link loads use their own quota and no credits: 10,000 one-time on Free, 100,000 a month on Developer, 2.5 million on Pro, 5 million on Growth, and 10 million on Scale.

Which one fits

Both put company logos in your product, and these are the cases where the choice is clear. For formats, pricing, and code, see the Context.dev brand API.

Choose Context.dev if

  • You start from a domain, company name, or email address, or you need logos for companies with no stock listing.
  • You want brand colors, descriptions, social profiles, addresses, and industry labels with the logo, and fonts through Styleguide.
  • You would rather pick a published plan than negotiate a paid key with Elbstream sales to remove its attribution link.
  • You want SDKs in five languages, a CLI, an MCP server, and web scraping and search on the same key.

Choose Parqet if

  • You only show logos for stocks, ETFs, funds, or crypto, and your data is already keyed by ISIN, WKN, or ticker.
  • You want unlimited free logo requests and can place a 12 pt link to elbstream.com on every page that shows one.
  • You need country flag, currency, or commodity icons from the same URL pattern, across the 400,000+ assets Elbstream lists.
  • You want every logo as a uniform square tile in SVG, PNG, JPG, or WebP at heights up to 1,000 px.

A few things to know.

More details in the API documentation.

What is the best Parqet alternative?

Context.dev is a Parqet alternative for teams that need more than a stock logo. It looks up a company by domain, name, email address, ticker, or transaction descriptor and returns logos, colors, a description, social profiles, an address, and industry labels in one 10-credit call. If you only show logos for listed securities and can link to elbstream.com on every page, Parqet’s free logo API costs less.

Is the Parqet logo API still available?

Yes, under a new name. In 2025 the logo API moved to Elbstream Data GmbH, a company with the same Hamburg address and managing director as Parqet, and parqet.com/api/logos now redirects to elbstream.com/logos. The documented endpoint is api.elbstream.com/logos, and the free plan now requires a link to elbstream.com instead of parqet.com.

How much does Parqet’s logo API cost compared with Context.dev?

Elbstream’s Hobby plan is free with no request quota under fair use, as long as every page that shows a logo carries a visible link to elbstream.com in at least 12 pt type. Removing that link takes a paid key from Elbstream sales, and serving logos from your own domain takes Enterprise; neither price is published. On Context.dev, a brand lookup costs 10 credits, so 10,000 lookups fit the $99 Pro plan, and Logo Link loads come from a separate quota (100,000 a month on the $19 Developer plan).

What does Parqet’s logo API return?

A raw image file, not JSON. Each request names an identifier type (ISIN, symbol, WKN, crypto, country, currency, commodity, and a few others) and returns one square logo tile, SVG by default or PNG, JPG, or WebP, at the height you ask for. The response has no colors, names, or other metadata. Elbstream sells company profiles for listed companies separately, through sales.

Can Context.dev look up a logo from an ISIN or WKN?

No. Context.dev looks up public companies by stock ticker, not by ISIN or WKN. If your records only carry ISINs, map them to tickers first, or keep Parqet’s logo API for those rows. Parqet is also the better fit for crypto, country flag, currency, and commodity icons.

How do I migrate from Parqet logos to Context.dev?

Replace each api.elbstream.com or assets.parqet.com image URL with a Context.dev Logo Link embed, or call the brand endpoint by ticker or domain to get logos, colors, and company data in one JSON response. Logo Link loads use their own quota, so showing logos does not use credits. Keep a fallback image for companies with no logo on file.

When is Parqet the better choice?

When your product is a portfolio or trading app that shows stocks, ETFs, funds, and crypto by ISIN, WKN, or ticker, needs flag or commodity icons, and can carry a 12 pt link to elbstream.com on every page with a logo. Its free plan has no request quota, and every logo is a uniform square tile in SVG, PNG, JPG, or WebP.

What else does Context.dev include?

The same API key covers Styleguide (fonts, typography, spacing, shadows, and component styles for 10 credits), brand search (1 credit, free on Pro, Growth, and Scale), people enrichment (20 credits per match), and news search, plus web scraping, crawling, and web search. Brand data is billed in credits from one plan, and Logo Link has its own quota.
