When Bhanu, co-founder of Squad, wanted to give his AI agents access to the web, he turned to an API he already used at SiteGPT. Adding Context.dev to Squad took five minutes.
What is Squad?
Squad gives people AI teammates that connect to their tools and carry out work on a schedule. Built-in research tools let those teammates bring information from the web into their tasks.
For Bhanu, the requirement was straightforward:

Three ways for agents to use a webpage
Squad uses Context.dev to support three web capabilities inside its agent experience:
- Read page: fetch a webpage as clean Markdown so an agent can work with its content.
- Screenshot: capture a page as an image, giving the agent a visual view of the website.
- Extract data: pull structured fields out of a page when the task calls for specific information.
The tools appear together in Squad's settings under Web pages. In the screenshot below, all three are enabled, with individual controls for reading pages, taking screenshots, and extracting data.
These are the three webpage capabilities Bhanu described using Context.dev for. They give Squad's agents a choice of page content, a visual capture, or specific fields to use in their work.
From SiteGPT to Squad in five minutes
Bhanu was already a Context.dev customer through SiteGPT, where the API scrapes websites to power AI support chatbots. When Squad needed its own web tools, he brought the same API into his second product.
"It was great. Took 5 mins to integrate. I am already a customer of Context.dev with my other product (SiteGPT). Now using it with Squad too."
The five-minute integration gave Squad the webpage capabilities its agents needed, while letting Bhanu build on his experience with Context.dev at SiteGPT.
The outcome
Bhanu described how Squad now uses the integration:
"We use Context.dev to give AI agents ability to scrape webpages, take screenshots, and also extract specific content from webpages."
The result is a set of web tools available directly inside Squad's agent experience:
