A few useful details.

Who can apply?
Academic labs, startups, open-source teams, and independent researchers working on RL, agents, or evaluations. You do not need a Context account to apply. If approved, we’ll help you get set up and add your usage credits.
How are applications reviewed?
We look for a clear research question, a reason to use web or company data, a practical usage estimate, and a milestone you can reach. A focused proposal matters more than your institution or funding. We review applications weekly and aim to respond within seven business days.
What does the dollar amount mean?
Awards cover Context API usage; they are not cash or a refund. We’ll confirm the credit allowance, applicable pricing, and usage limits with you before you accept an award.
When do the credits expire?
We’ll agree on a research timeline and confirm the expiry of your credits when we approve your award. Applying does not change your subscription or enable paid overage.
What do you expect in return?
A short progress update before additional allocations and an intended research output: a paper, code, benchmark, dataset, or technical report. You keep your intellectual property. We do not take equity. Publicity, logos, and case studies require separate permission.
How do I request another allocation?
Reply to the team with results, usage, a link to your work, and the next milestone. We review progress and add the next allocation manually, up to your approved award amount.
What are the program terms?
Grants are discretionary, non-transferable, and limited to the approved research project. Later allocations depend on progress and the approved award ceiling. Normal Context terms, acceptable use, and privacy policies apply. Contact support@context.dev if your project or team changes.
