Hey everyone, Yahia here.
You may have seen today's news about a security incident at Vercel, which Vercel's CEO attributed to a breach at an AI platform called Context.ai. We want to be very clear with our customers:
Context.dev is not Context.ai. We are a separate company, with separate systems, separate people, and no affiliation whatsoever with Context.ai.
What this means for you
- Your Context.dev account, API keys, and data were not touched by this incident.
- We do not share infrastructure, credentials, or employees with Context.ai.
- You do not need to take any action related to your Context.dev integration.
A little context on us
Context.dev is the company formerly known as Brand.dev. We give AI systems the context they need to understand the web: APIs that turn any URL into clean Markdown, extract images and screenshots, pull style guides, fetch logos, and surface the full brand and company profile behind a domain. If your agent, app, or model needs to know something about a company or a page, we're the layer that feeds it that context. You can read more about our rebrand here.
If you have any questions or want to double-check anything, reach out to us at support@context.dev and we'll respond personally.
Thanks for trusting us. We take that responsibility seriously.
- Yahia Bakour, Founder of Context.dev
