Affiliate Terms of Service
Last updated: June 14, 2026
Agreement to these affiliate terms
These Affiliate Terms of Service govern participation in the Context.dev Affiliate Program. By applying for, joining, or continuing to participate in the program, you agree to these terms, our general Terms of Service, and any rules shown in the affiliate platform we use to manage applications, tracking, and payouts.
We may accept, reject, suspend, or remove any affiliate at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. We may also modify these terms, commission rates, attribution rules, promotional requirements, or the program itself at any time. Continued participation after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Eligibility and approval
You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind the person or entity applying to the program. You must provide accurate account, payment, tax, and promotional information and keep it current.
Approval is discretionary. We may reject or remove affiliates whose websites, audiences, tactics, or business activities are unsuitable for Context.dev, including content or activity that is illegal, deceptive, hateful, abusive, misleading, adult, gambling-related, malware-related, or otherwise harmful to our brand.
Honest referrals
Affiliates must promote Context.dev honestly and in a way that helps prospective customers make informed decisions. You may not misrepresent your relationship with us, imply that you are employed by us, or present yourself as an official Context.dev representative unless we have authorized that in writing.
All claims about Context.dev, our features, pricing, customers, performance, security, compliance, integrations, commissions, or discounts must be accurate, current, and supported by information we have publicly provided or approved in writing.
- Disclose that you may earn a commission when sharing affiliate links, including on websites, newsletters, social posts, videos, podcasts, and private communities.
- Do not create fake reviews, fake testimonials, fake comparisons, fabricated case studies, or undisclosed sponsored content.
- Do not promise discounts, credits, features, support levels, roadmap items, or custom terms unless we have approved them in writing.
- Do not use pressure tactics, misleading urgency, false scarcity, or deceptive redirects.
Paid search, keywords, and ads
You may not bid on, target, or purchase paid search, paid social, display, programmatic, marketplace, retargeting, or other paid advertising inventory that uses our protected terms without our prior written approval.
Protected terms include Context.dev, Context Dev, context.dev, Brand.dev, Brand Dev, our domain names, product names, trademarks, trade names, slogans, misspellings, confusingly similar terms, and any keywords we designate as protected.
- No bidding on our name, domains, trademarks, product names, or common misspellings.
- No bidding on keywords that include our protected terms combined with words like coupon, discount, promo code, pricing, review, login, docs, alternatives, comparison, or support.
- No direct linking from paid ads to Context.dev using your affiliate link.
- No use of our domain, trademarks, or protected terms in ad display URLs, ad headlines, ad copy, tracking templates, URL paths, or landing-page domains in a way that suggests official ownership.
- No ads designed to intercept customers already searching for Context.dev, our login, our documentation, our pricing page, or our support resources.
- If you run paid ads for adjacent category terms, you must use reasonable negative keywords to avoid bidding against our protected terms.
Trademark, domain, and brand restrictions
You may use approved Context.dev names, logos, and screenshots only to accurately refer to us and only in accordance with any brand guidelines we provide. We may require you to change or remove any use of our brand assets at any time.
- Do not register or use domains, subdomains, social handles, app names, browser extensions, repositories, ads, or community names that include or imitate our protected terms.
- Do not make a website, landing page, or account that looks like an official Context.dev property.
- Do not use our brand assets in a way that suggests sponsorship, certification, partnership, endorsement, or exclusivity beyond your approved affiliate status.
- Do not modify our logos or combine them with other marks in a confusing way.
Prohibited traffic and promotional methods
You may not generate referrals through deceptive, automated, coercive, or low-quality tactics. We decide, in our sole discretion, whether traffic or conversions are valid.
- No self-referrals, referrals from your own accounts, referrals from entities you control, or referrals created mainly to earn commission.
- No cookie stuffing, forced clicks, hidden iframes, clickjacking, automatic redirects, link cloaking that hides the destination, or tracking manipulation.
- No bots, fake accounts, fake signups, stolen payment methods, incentivized signups, lead farms, or traffic purchased from low-quality networks.
- No unsolicited email, spam, scraped contact lists, bulk direct messages, automated outreach, or messages that violate CAN-SPAM, GDPR, ePrivacy rules, platform policies, or other applicable laws.
- No coupon, deal, cashback, rewards, loyalty, toolbar, browser extension, downloadable software, or sub-affiliate promotion unless we approve it in writing.
- No promotion on websites, apps, channels, communities, or content that contain malware, piracy, harassment, hate, adult content, illegal activity, or deceptive financial claims.
- No bidding, posting, or messaging that violates the rules of Google, Meta, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, email providers, community platforms, or other channels you use.
Content standards
Your content must be original or properly licensed, lawful, and clear about the basis for any recommendation. Comparisons must be fair, specific, and kept current. If you publish a review, tutorial, listicle, benchmark, or comparison, you are responsible for correcting outdated or inaccurate information promptly.
You may not use our affiliate program to publish defamatory content, attack competitors dishonestly, scrape or reuse our content at scale, impersonate customers, or create search pages that exist primarily to capture branded or navigational traffic.
Commission eligibility and reversals
Commissions are available only for valid customers tracked through your approved affiliate link and accepted by our affiliate platform. Tracking, attribution windows, commission rates, eligible plans, payout timing, thresholds, and payout methods may be set or changed by us or the affiliate platform.
We may deny, reverse, offset, withhold, or claw back commissions for any reason we determine is appropriate, including refunds, chargebacks, cancellations, duplicate accounts, self-referrals, fraud, abuse, attribution disputes, tracking errors, prohibited promotion, customer nonpayment, or violation of these terms.
You are responsible for all taxes, fees, payment details, and compliance obligations related to any commissions you receive.
Monitoring and enforcement
We may monitor affiliate activity, request information about your traffic sources, require changes to your content or campaigns, and audit referrals. You must cooperate with any review and promptly provide requested information.
If we believe you violated these terms or created risk for Context.dev, we may suspend tracking, disable links, remove you from the program, reverse commissions, withhold unpaid amounts, require corrective action, block traffic sources, or take any other action we consider appropriate.
Termination
You may stop participating at any time by removing affiliate links and discontinuing promotion. We may suspend or terminate your participation at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
After termination, you must stop using affiliate links, stop representing yourself as a Context.dev affiliate, and remove or update promotional materials if we ask. Termination for fraud, abuse, or material breach may result in forfeiture of unpaid commissions.
Confidentiality
You may receive nonpublic information about Context.dev, customers, performance, program terms, or business plans. You must keep that information confidential and use it only to participate in the affiliate program unless we authorize disclosure in writing.
Relationship of the parties
Your participation does not create an employment, agency, franchise, joint venture, or legal partnership relationship with us. You may not make commitments, representations, warranties, or obligations on our behalf.
Indemnification and liability
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Context.dev, Bakour Tech LLC, and our affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and partners from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your participation in the affiliate program, your content, your promotional methods, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, tracking failures, platform errors, or unavailable program features related to the affiliate program.
